Irving Family Pages

Family Reunion

There have been two recent family reunions, one in 2005 another in 2010.

Both were held in North Conway, New Hampshire.

2010

The 2010 Irving — Wenz Family Reunion was held September 24 - 26 at the White Mountain Hotel in North Conway New Hampshire. Thirty two relatives attended the reunion from near and far. Many residing in the north east but others drove from such places as Colorado, Georgia and Indiana.

Many hours were spent meeting relatives, some for the first time, and looking at old pictures and remembering those who are no longer with us. It was also interesting to see how some personality characteristics must be in our DNA.

Twenty three attendees were Irving descendants, 11 children and 5 grandchildren of Ad, Lina, Bea or Jack Irving. There were seven Irving/Wenz descendants 4 children and one grandchild of the two Irving sisters (Millie & Dot) who married Wenz brothers (Fred & Ted).

There was a presentation on the irving-fam website. The website provides access to the genealogy information as best we know. We ask your help enhancing and correcting that information. Please keep us informed of information pertaining to births, marriages and deaths to keep the family tree up to date; or if your contact information changes (residence, email, phone). Remember to view information on individuals still living you must request an account and login.

It was wonderful to see many cousins again and a pleasure to meet some cousins we had not met before. No plans have been made for the next reunion, yet. Pictures of this reunion are available on the Gallery page.

2005

The first family reunion for the IRVING side of the family was held at the White Mountain Hotel & Resort in North Conway, New Hampshire in May of 2005. For a first reunion it was quite a success. A total of 35 family members attended the event many of whom met for the first time. Relatives traveled from the northeast states of Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York as well as from Virginia and as far away as Texas and Washington. There were 4 generations represented ranging from age 6 to 93. We all met in the hospitality suite Friday evening, several enjoyed the hotel’s Friday Night Seafood Buffet in the dining room.
