• Notes

  Sources differ on Mary's surname. Greene's History of Boothbay book (page 607) states surname was Hodgkins and Preble's First three Generations book says (page 17) her name was Butler. The Headstone at Preble Point (Arrowsic, Sagadahoc county) claims her age was 86, but if she was born Jan 30, 1735 she would have been 87 years, 11 months, and 25 days old when she died.
