  Headstone reads "Here lies interred Capt. Caleb Preble, aged 45 years and 7 months who departed this life Jan 7, 1734." The record of his death mentions him as the son of Abraham Preble, Esq. and Hannah his wife. His father during his lifetime gave him half his estate.
