  • Notes 
    • During WW-I as a soldier he went overseas. We have a safe arrival card (mail) addressed to Mrs. Linnell Foster, 119 Magnolia St. Dorchester, Mass.

      Old photographs annotated "The future Mrs E H. Foster" and "Valeria & I (Evans) taken at El Dorado 5/1/24" indicate that Evans planned to marry, but no records or family history indicate he ever married. Those pictures were possibly taken while still living in Massachusetts - before moving to Chicago, IL. The 1920 Census lists him living at home with family in Dorchester.

      His Social Security number was issued in Illinois before 1951. He lived in Chicago by at least 1935 (per 1940 Census), and probably earlier.

      We believe there is a memorial located at the first Tee at the Mystery Valley Golf Club in Dekalb County, GA; where he retired to - and he loved his golf.
