257 | Do not know how he became to be known by the name of Reggie. Jim (RIN-5) remembers Uncle Reggie would often join the Irving's for Thanksgiving diner. It was common that after the high school football game we would drive to his house in Wellesley (just off Rte 9) to pick him up and bring him to Natick. Records indicate that Albert and Mabel were about four years different in age, yet 1920 and 1930 census recorded they were the same age. So one of them was not sure of when they were born. | Justis, Albert Young (I34)

263 | During WW-I as a soldier he went overseas. We have a safe arrival card (mail) addressed to Mrs. Linnell Foster, 119 Magnolia St. Dorchester, Mass. Old photographs annotated "The future Mrs E H. Foster" and "Valeria & I (Evans) taken at El Dorado 5/1/24" indicate that Evans planned to marry, but no records or family history indicate he ever married. Those pictures were possibly taken while still living in Massachusetts - before moving to Chicago, IL. The 1920 Census lists him living at home with family in Dorchester. His Social Security number was issued in Illinois before 1951. He lived in Chicago by at least 1935 (per 1940 Census), and probably earlier. We believe there is a memorial located at the first Tee at the Mystery Valley Golf Club in Dekalb County, GA; where he retired to - and he loved his golf. | Foster, Evans Linnell (I40)

264 | Ebenezer had two sons (Ebenezer and Samuel) and three daughters (Polly, Rebecca, and Mehitable). Ebenezer was shot and killed in Indian attack known as the Preble massacre. Refer to the book Preble Family in America, Page 16. The footnote gives an account of his death and the capture of his children. There is also a "Preble Massacre" paper by Henry O. Thayer that describes this event. | Preble, Ebenezer (I320)
|
265 | Ebenezer was one of the children taken captive in 1756 (age 4 yrs) and remained in Quebec for four or five years until restored by grand father Brig. Gen. Harnden. No mention of who raised him after being returned from Quebec. | Preble, Ebenezer (I674)
